Not investment advice
OpenFactsheet helps explain historical investment performance for educational and informational purposes. It does not provide personalized investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell any security. Results depend on the accuracy and completeness of the data supplied. Past performance does not predict future results.
OpenFactsheet reports describe the historical return series you provide. They do not assess whether an investment is suitable for you, and they do not account for fees, taxes or liquidity unless those are already reflected in the returns. The quality of a report depends on the quality of the data supplied.
The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Consider seeking advice from a licensed professional before making investment decisions.
Privacy
Data handling in plain words
- Your file never leaves your device. It is analyzed inside your browser and never uploaded, stored or shared.
- There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for.
- The site sets no cookies of its own. The explainer video on the home page loads from YouTube only if you press play.
- We measure page loading speed anonymously, without cookies, and never on the analysis page.
Files you analyze are processed by the openfactsheet library running inside your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers or anyone else's, and we cannot see them.
To run the analysis, your browser downloads the Python runtime and scientific libraries from this website (openfactsheet.org), not from a third party. Those requests contain no information about your files.
We use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load. It sets no cookies and records only anonymous performance timings and the page address. It never sees your files or their results, and it does not run on the analysis page: while you analyze, the page makes no requests to anyone else.
The explainer video on the home page is hosted on YouTube. Until you press play, the page shows a picture stored on this website and makes no request to YouTube. When you press play, the video loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube may store information in your browser under Google's privacy policy. The video never runs on the analysis page.
There is no account or sign-up, and the site sets no cookies of its own, for advertising, tracking or anything else.
